LXMB-type diaphragm microporous aerator

We primarily provide a comprehensive range of ancillary products for water supply and wastewater treatment systems, including trash interception, chemical dosing and reaction, sedimentation, water collection, sludge removal, and filtration, as well as biological media and aerators for wastewater treatment projects.

I. Overview:
Membrane-type microporous diffusers represent the fifth generation of non-mechanical aeration equipment. Compared with earlier generations, they offer distinct advantages: the smallest bubble diameter, the largest gas–liquid interfacial area, the highest oxygen transfer efficiency, the greatest energy savings, superior corrosion resistance, resistance to clogging, the highest wastewater treatment capacity per unit area of treatment structures, and significant land-use savings.

Enhance Assignment

IV. Characteristics:
1. The diaphragm is made of EPDM, which offers excellent resistance to acids and alkalis as well as outstanding fatigue resistance. It is produced via a single-pass calendering process, ensuring uniform thickness and consistent aeration resistance.
2. The diaphragm is perforated in a single operation, ensuring consistent hole size, high precision, uniform aeration, and small bubbles ranging from 1.0 to 3.0 millimeters in diameter. This increases the gas–liquid interfacial area, enhancing oxygen transfer efficiency, thereby allowing the selection of more cost-effective air-distribution equipment and reducing power consumption.

3. The diaphragm’s shape has been repeatedly refined and tested to ensure a rational structural design that prevents easy blow-off; the saddle and other components are securely connected, and installation is convenient.
4. The lift-type membrane-tube microporous aerator is quick to install and maintain.

V. Installation and Commissioning:
1. The aeration branch pipes of the diffusers fixed to the pool bottom shall be connected in a loop for each group, so as to balance the air pressure within the pipes and ensure uniform aeration pressure.
2. For medium-diameter 90 mm pipelines, it is preferable to install no more than 120 disc-type diffusers per set; for membrane-tube diffusers, no more than 60 tubes per set is recommended.

3. Use adjustable pipe piles to adjust the horizontal level of the air distribution branch pipes and ensure that their elevations are consistent with one another, then secure them in place.

4. Expansion bolts for securing the pipe piles shall be installed on the pool bottom slab where the concrete strength exceeds C10; if the concrete strength of the pool bottom is insufficient, the bolts shall be relocated to another suitable position. If no suitable location is available, other appropriate measures must be adopted to secure the air-distribution branch pipes.
5. After the diffuser is installed, fill the system with clean water to submerge the diffuser by 10–15 cm and conduct a trial aeration. If the operation is normal, the system may be put into service; otherwise, the diffuser must be reinstalled and the trial aeration repeated until satisfactory results are obtained.

VI. Special Notes:

Because aerators operate under varying water-quality and operational conditions in often harsh environments, improper handling or other unforeseen factors can lead to damage, necessitating replacement or repair. Given that wastewater treatment is typically carried out continuously and the entire system cannot be shut down, performing independent maintenance on damaged individual aerator units is particularly critical. To address this need, our plant has developed a complete lift-and-replace system specifically designed for diaphragm (tubular) fine-bubble diffusers (details available upon request). This solution eliminates users’ concerns by eliminating the need to shut down the system for maintenance—thereby avoiding environmental-regulation compliance issues—and by obviating the costs associated with draining the aeration tank of its wastewater and sludge, as well as the energy consumption, labor required for cleaning, and expenses related to re-establishing the microbial community. It represents a major advancement in aeration-system maintenance practices.
Our factory can also supply diaphragm (tubular) microporous diffusers in non-standard lengths upon customer request.
