LXQS-type filter head

I. Overview:
The filter head is a critical component of the water distribution systems in both water treatment filters and biological wastewater filters, and the quality of the product and the rationality of its configuration directly affect the treatment performance of the filter.
II. Drawbacks of Traditional Filter Bed Water Distribution Systems:
In traditional filter-bed water-distribution systems, conical holes are typically drilled directly through the filter plates, which are then covered with nylon mesh and supported by graded layers of pebbles. However, because the hole spacing on older-style filter plates is often inaccurate and the inter-hole alignment is poor, and because the joints between adjacent plates are sealed with ordinary cement mortar—resulting in unreliable compaction of the nylon mesh—the mortar seals tend to crack after the system is put into operation. These cracks allow the backwash water to wash away the sealing mortar, which in turn lifts and damages the nylon mesh, displaces it, and disturbs the supporting layer, leading to sand leakage. This causes uneven distribution of backwash hydraulic forces, resulting in incomplete cleaning of the filter media, the formation of mud balls on the media bed, and the development of dead zones in certain areas. Such conditions create a vicious cycle that significantly reduces the filter bed’s water-production capacity, eventually rendering it incapable of producing water. Therefore, selecting a reliable water-distribution product is crucial for the performance of the filter bed.
