1. Collection troughs are critical equipment in both water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants for uniformly collecting the overflow of clarified effluent, and they also serve as an attractive feature of the plant’s landscape. Collection troughs are primarily used in the following applications: strip-orifice or weir-tooth-type collection troughs at the effluent end of lamella settlers; evenly distributed collection troughs on the surface of inclined-tube and inclined-plate settlers; annular or radially configured collection troughs in mechanically stirred clarifiers; and circular collection troughs in the final sedimentation tanks of wastewater treatment plants.
2. The collection trough is fabricated from high-quality stainless steel plates using large-scale CNC equipment for shearing, cold stamping, hydraulic forming, and welding. It boasts high strength, high precision, excellent corrosion resistance, an aesthetically pleasing appearance, a long service life, and easy installation.
3. Collection troughs can be assembled using U-shaped flange connections, connection plate connections, on-site welding, or other methods. Custom fabrication is available in accordance with the design drawings.
4. Pitted Collection Gutter
The perforated collection trough features uniformly distributed, linearly arranged holes on both sides, with hole diameters typically ranging from 18 to 40 mm and a trough thickness of 4 to 6 mm. The tooth-shaped collection trough (triangular weir plate type).
The toothed collection trough is assembled by joining toothed weir plates with the side panels of the trough body; the assembly holes are pocket-shaped and adjustable. The weir teeth are set at a 90° angle, and are typically available in two sizes: 80×160 and 100×200. The trough wall thickness is generally 4–6 mm.
