Suspension-type Center-Drive Sludge Scraper

I. Uses
The suspended center-drive sludge scraper (sludge thickener) is primarily used for sludge thickening in medium- and small-diameter tanks at municipal water treatment plants, with the function of removing settled sludge. This equipment employs gravity thickening to reduce sludge volume and facilitate sludge discharge.
II. Structure and Operating Principle
This equipment consists of a working bridge, scraper arms, scrapers, a cycloidal pinwheel reducer or a worm-gear reducer, bearings, and other components. The drive mechanism rotates the central shaft, which in turn causes the scrapers to remove sludge from the conical tank wall.

VI. Main Features
The service bridge shall be of a full-bridge configuration, with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, or concrete.
The drive unit employs either a vertical three-stage cycloidal pinwheel reducer or a combination of a helical gear reducer and a worm gear reducer, ensuring appropriate output torque and speed; the concentrating scrapers are evenly spaced along the scraper arm to enhance the concentration effect.
The bottom end of the scraper’s vertical shaft is equipped with an underwater bearing and a scraper blade to prevent shaft deflection during rotation and to prevent sludge from compacting within the sludge collection trough.
Equipped with dual mechanical and electrical overload protection for safe and reliable operation; the equipment is easy to operate and can be controlled locally or remotely.
